Fade To Black

This panda sweater is an absolute favorite of mine and I love every excuse to wear it. It's soft and cozy and the neutral colors are perfectly suited to my typical style. You may recognize it, as I've worn it several times already. Click here and here for some examples. I think the sweater provided the right amount of emotion and color contrast for this rather somber ensemble of blacks and greys.

I've worn this black double breasted coat a bunch and I kept forgetting to mention that I got it from Jollychic. Last year, I won a contest for a $100 gift certificate and I had used that along with my own money to purchase four coats, a cardigan and two sweaters. I desperately needed an updated black coat and this one is perfect. I'll do a review about my experience with Jollychic later on, but for now I can say that I'm very pleased with the quality and fit of what I have received, especially this tweed coat.

This is my second time wearing these ombre jeans, but my first time actually showing them on my blog.I was thinking about just selling them, because I hadn't worn them in years. I had forgotten all about them until the other day and they're like-new. I had bought them prior to the whole ombre craze. I was in the mood for something different from your typical pair of jeans, so I had bought these on sale.

I have to say that I'm definitely going to keep them. Haha. Obviously I forgot just how totally rad they are; and the fact that they happen to be in style or whatever also warrants holding on to them. :D Also, I think the ombre effect added that little something extra that a pair of plain black pants just couldn't.

Yeah, I'm really diggin the whole scarf as a hood thing. I think they call them snoods or something? I just use a regular old infinity scarf, but I wouldn't mind getting a scarf with an actual hood on it. :P

I would snap those jeans up in a heartbeat if you were ever going to let them go. What a statement! Also, those sunglasses and the hood in that first picture made your outfit seem like something straight out of a sci-fi movie.

I know! F*cking crazy. I'm insane. >_< I just get this feeling..like I have to clean house. Once I do, there's no stopping me. I give tons of clothing to charity and everything else that isn't worthy I just throw in the trash. I do these intense purges at least once a year and I hate to think that these jeans could have gotten caught in that whirlwind. Sometimes I have to wear something again to remember the magic that made me like it in the first place. :)

Haha! Awesome! :D Man, I knew these sunglasses were a good investment. I'm still amazed at how something so small can completely transform the look and feel of an outfit. It's no surprise that I tend to go for these when I want to finish a particularly edgy look. :D

Yeah! Lying flat on my bed, these pants are just 'meh'. Haha. The urge to give them away was so strong. However, when I tried them on and looked at them in natural light, I was like..'woah, I think I've got something here.' Hehe. I'm pleased that they photographed well, too!

Ahh, yeah. It's a wonderful feeling! Now that I'm on a (albeit secret) spending freeze, I'm really getting to know my closet all over again and I'm starting to separate the haves from the have-nots, so to speak. These pants are definitely going to be hanging around, at least for a little while longer. :P
