I took one look at this outfit and the first words that came to mind were: Diane Keaton. Yep. o_O I'm not positive that this is something she would actually wear. It's not quite Annie Hall, though. I think that character's style perfectly straddles the line which divides all things masculine and feminine. This outfit may not be a particularly good fit for Annie Hall, but for 1990's Diane Keaton....Maybe? Possibly? Hehe.
I was determined to mix textures and colors in a subtle way. So, you'll find two different floral patterns of varying color and texture thanks to the layered blouses. I added the shiny wooden bead necklace for contrast of color and additional texture. The grey fringed cardigan is one of my favorite pieces. I can wrap it in quite a few different ways and the flyaway fringe adds an instant boho vibe to the outfit.
The high waisted jeans, loafers, suspenders and fedora added rustic and masculine elements. Overall, I'm pleased with how this turned out. The outfit is soft and sophisticated, but harbors a little toughness.
Hope you like the outfit! I have another feminine/masculine mashup queued up for next week! :D~
