This is a very simple, earthy ensemble that I put together for grocery shopping and coffee shop loitering. I really love this brown coat, so I was happy to have an excuse to wear it. I call it my "bag lady" coat. ;P It's frumpy, but it's so comfortable and the color is great. I adore this hobo bathrobe. <3

I managed to jazz things up a bit with my favorite vintage sweater. *^_^* I didn't want to add any other prints to the outfit, so I just threw on the sweater over my green skater dress. The dress added a nice splash of color, but it also managed to basically blend in with the other earth tones which provided a nice canvas for the sweater. I really wanted it to be the main attraction and I think I succeeded. :DDD

A dude at the grocery store stopped me and said that he liked my style. *^_^* I thought that was really sweet, though it was a bit unexpected. In my mind, this outfit is kind of on the boring side. I didn't really think that much of it, but I'm always my own worst critic. So, yeah. Thanks, random dude! Hehe. :P

I like this outfit too! The printed sweater adds a lot of interest, and I don't think the jacket is frumpy at all (it looks cozy!). Also, you're wearing a hat! Hats are so rarely worn these days that I think they add a lot of interest to an outfit even though they might be quite simple. This outfit to me looks very well put together, but still interesting (if a little more understated - especially for you!). :D

Also, give yourself more credit, girl! And if you think this is boring, I'm surprised you even visit my blog anymore! :P

Hahaha. Yeah. I don't know why I keep wearing my fedora in the winter time. Usually, having your ears exposed is not the best thing when it's cold out. Luckily, it was a pretty mild day, but I've been known to put on ear warmers and then still wear the fedora. Haha. I dunno. Sometimes, I just feel like it's just what the outfit needs and a pom pom hat wouldn't quite be right. :P

Also, you're blog is *never* boring and I won't hear any more of that nonsense, madam!

So I was thinking that was actually a really cute coat and then you went and code it a "hobo bathrobe" and I lost it. Oh man.. now I can't unsee it...

(And I'm always taken back when strangers compliment my "bleh" outfits. If they like those, they should see me when I'm really trying!)

I like it- the sweater seems almost like illustrations out of an old children's book (I'm thinking specifically of my old Nursery Rhymes book).
