My partner and I decided to celebrate the start of the weekend with fancy pizza and craft beer. By the way, I think pizza is "fancy" if you can get kale and roasted beets on it. Hehe. Also, that particular pizza is not as bad as it sounds! The goat cheese and red wine reduction tie it together. I ended up having a pizza with mango on it, which was pretty insane. I have to try to make that at home, sometime. :DDD
Anyway, I was super stoked to go on a little date and stuff my face with good food, so I decided to clash, again, but with really bright colors, this time. Even though the place that we went to is kind of upscale and many of the people there are of the hipster variety (by the way, I also consider myself a hipster, but with a very low douche bag factor - I acknowledge that I may be sort of douchey, but I don't go overboard like some people I've encountered haha). So, I didn't want to be suuuuper dressed up. I wasn't trying to impress anyone or anything. Instead, I went for a comfortable, casual, but classy look.
You may recognize the plaid vintage dress that I'm wearing as a top. It's really fantastic and it's so hard for me to avoid wearing it once a week. It always catches my eye when I go to my closet. The colors are wonderful. <3 However, you may not remember, Hodor, my turtle dude. ;D It's been forever and a day since he's gotten any fresh air and for that I greatly apologize to my conversationally challenged friend.
I've had these buckled brown sandals packed away since November, so I almost forgot I had them. >_< I'm so glad it's warm enough to wear them, now! Every time I put them on, I'm reminded of how wonderful they are. They're so comfortable! ^_^ Anyway, yeah. That's it. I'm doing the whole minimalist thing, lately, so there aren't tons of layers and whatnot for me to talk about (and bore you with). Hehe.
Oh and don't worry. I'm not going to clash in every outfit! It just kind of happened that I did it three times in a row. Haha. Obviously, mixed prints are on my brain! I have a very sweet, vintage-inspired look queued up for later this week. I've been wearing rather feminine outfits, lately. It makes me wonder when my inner crazy woman will show up. It's usually sudden, but always a welcome distraction. ;D
