*SIGH* This outfit is really cute. I mean, really f*cking cute and girly. Haha. >_< I dunno. I feel like I have to try to do these types of outfits every now and again. I'm not always rough and tumble. I do have a softer side. Anyway, I kind of like the quirky, Japanese school girl thing I've got going on here. ^_^
It didn't even occur to me that my coffee cup matched my outfit. Haha. Awesome. :D So, as you can see, I layered up a bit here. It was fairly chilly and I used the weather as a perfect excuse to wear my cat ear hat. You're going to be seeing a lot of cat ears this Fall/Winter! :DDD OK, so I started with a white polka dot dress which is much too big for me. As a result, I've taken to wearing things over it because I like the print and I don't have a single white polka dot blouse. Then I layered a textured yellow sweater over it and tucked both into my vintage multi-color plaid skirt. Love this skirt! <333
The navy pea coat seemed like a no-brainer. The deep blue color compliments and frames the outfit perfectly, IMO. :P I wasn't going to wear a necklace at all, but this stereo pendant caught my eye as I scanned the jewelry thingamabob on my wall. I tried it on and then I was like, 'yeah, OK.' Haha. It adds to the overall quirky look of the outfit. Also, it's fun and eye-catching. I always like wearing it. ^_^
The red buckled satchel also seemed like a good choice. I always try my best to mix colors in the most aesthetically pleasing way possible. I don't always get it right and when it comes to bright colors, I'm especially cautious because it's not really my strong suit. I just felt that a black bag would have been a cop-out. Black goes with everything. Haha. A brown bag would have been fine, but something brighter would be best. I figured if I'm going to wear a bright outfit, I might as well ramp it up and have fun.
I finished the outfit with these sheer polka dot tights and black wingtip oxford heels. Lately, I've been wearing a lot of flat shoes and boots because they're comparatively more comfortable for me. However, the outfit needed a pair of heels. Hehe. Sometimes, you just can't escape that situation. ;D The polka dot tights were a nice touch, too, I think. Much better than plain black. Understated, but cute.
