Somehow, I managed to take a rather simple, feminine and innocuous romper and make it seem like the most fitting piece in a rather terrifying puzzle. o_O Hehe. This vintage floral romper is currently up for grabs in my Etsy shop and it's a real gem. <3 I have to admit that it doesn't have much "rack appeal." I think most people would probably pass this up at a store. Even on my mannequin, it doesn't really seem to have much panache. However, the same could be said for so many things in my closet.
You can turn any unassuming garment into something striking and worthy of admiration with just a little bit of imagination! It's that challenge that makes me so excited about fashion. I like to push myself to see what I can do. With this romper, it didn't really take much to transform it into something formidably edgy and borderline intimidating. Hehe. ;) Instead of casual flip flops, I opted for sexy sheer tights and sleek glossy ankle booties. Rather than wear a demure cardigan and cute sunglasses, I traded those in for a dramatic double breasted black coat and steampunk retro specs, then I finished with the fedora.
Ultimately, I ended up with something quite simple, but chic and edgy. It really didn't take much effort at all! Just a little forward thinking (and a whole lot of attitude hehe). I hope that this post helps to demonstrate just how easy it is to dress this romper up or down. There are endless possibilities! :D
