I just got home from work and I'm so glad it's Friday! I decided to do the T-shirt and jeans look,
but with a little nerdy twist. I went with a super nerdy T-shirt that I managed to get on sale for almost half the usual price of $20.
The rhinestone skinny jeans are from Hot Topic. I find that there are two things Hot Topic does right, these days: (1) affordable and fashionable jeans and (2) affordable footwear--especially boots! I've never seen jeans quite these, so I just couldn't resist getting them. I think they were $30. Not a thrifty choice, I know, but I tend to splurge for unique items.
I got the black canvas boat flats for under $15. Thrifty indeed! I bought two pairs. They've got padded soles, so they're super comfortable. I've worn them on and off for the last few weeks and they're already starting to show signs of wear. Not the sturdiest flats, but definitely comfy and cute. The taupe skinny belt was under $10.
The cream wrap around watch is from TIL Darling, a little boutique on-line store. The owner is a really nice guy and routinely takes requests for sought after items. I asked him if he could get this style of watch for me. Not long after that, he featured this watch and another wrap watch of a different style in one of his daily accessories deals for half off the retail price. So, I got it for $20! It was in the mid-70's today, after weeks and weeks of 90 degree weather and over 60% humidity, so it was a wonderful day for a hoodie. I bought the "Leipzig Hoodie" in olive earlier this year (snagged the last one in stock - huzzah!). It is by far the best hoodie I own. So glad I finally had an excuse to wear it!
It looks so polished with just about any outfit. It has some stretch and the material is quite soft. Normally, I'm a medium in hoodies/jackets, but I sized up to a large given the reviews I read, and I'm glad I did. It fits perfectly, especially at the hips. Mine are somewhat pronounced and I have a small waist, so it makes for an awkward fit at times. No problems here, though!
