Just as the days started to feel a bit longer and the sunshine began to make more of an appearance, it f*cking snowed again! It wasn't just a light shower, either. Gaia reaaalllly laid it on thick. >_< Ugh! The transition from Winter to Spring is such an emotional roller coaster, especially where I live since it tends to snow even in April and it can be bitingly cold up to mid-May! It sucks so much balls, you guys.
Alright, I'll stop my whining. Actually, if I could just say one more thing? Haha. I just want to point out that in my warped sense of retribution, I wore perforated tights and flat shoes as if to say that Spring has already arrived. In so doing, I really just punished myself. >_< It was chilly. Not gunna lie. Haha.
OK, now I'm done. Sooo, what have I got going on here? Well, I am very layered up! I'm wearing a mustard/cumin sweater from Chicnova. It has chocolate brown elbow patches, too! It's really cute! Underneath that is my trusty ModCloth tunic. I love that lace collar and it is that aspect of the garment that has allowed me to wear it numerous times and pretty much during any season. It's a wonderful layering piece and as it turns out, I haven't worn it by itself since last summer! Click here to see how I styled the tunic back then. Underneath that, I'm wearing the usual thermal gear, of course. :D
My outerwear consists of a vintage style double breasted navy jacket and oversized brown coat, both of which are from Jollychic. Their website calls the navy jacket a coat, but it doesn't really feel like one to me. The material isn't very thick and it's reminiscent of a blazer. So, I dunno. Maybe I'm wearing two coats right now, maybe I'm not. Haha. At least I was warm! Down below lies my vintage pleated floral skirt which you probably recognized from this previous post. It's what dreams are made of. <3
And then there's the blasted ModCloth web tights I mentioned earlier. ;P Just between you and me, I actually wore thick footless tights underneath the skirt. The legs were a bit long, so I had to roll them up so they wouldn't show. So, I was only suffering from the knees down. Haha. *Shakes fist at Gaia.*
I don't wear the tights as often as I should. >_< Click here to see how I had styled them last summer. I think their color and eye-catching patterns made the outfit more interesting than a pair of black tights.
So, there you go! This outfit oozes vintage goodness. Also, totally grandma chic, but I'm OK with it. ;D
