Meet Effie of Effie's Dress
There's something you need to know about Effie: she is hardcore. This girl is dark and jagged with a bittersweet center. A girl after my own heart, really. Hehe. :D
Thus, you'll find that Effie's styles are edgy. Kind of punk rock chic, I would say. Even her softer, more feminine outfits have a dark lining to them. Try to imagine putting a ring of delicate flowers on a crown of thorns. In my mind, that's Effie in all her glory.
She may not even see herself in that light, but that's how I view her. She's a total bad ass.
Reading Effie's blog makes me want to just give into my dark side and wear my tougher styles more often. I just don't think I could handle it as well as she does.
Effie wears leather, animals prints and studs like a second skin.
In case, you haven't already noticed, I am totally enamored with this Chicago native's tough as nails style; and I highly recommend checking out her blog! Despite my portrayal of Effie, you should know that she is incredibly sweet and really easy going. She won't bite. I promise!
