Meet Jen of The Emerald Ruby
I've never seen a fashion blogger quite like Jen. Her style is so different and unique. I've been following her blog for more than year and it has become clear that her outfits are a direct reflection of her personality and creativity. This would explain why I have never seen the same or similar clothing combinations on any other blogger (or non-blogger, for that matter). She doesn't draw her inspiration from what is currently on-trend or popular. She doesn't appear to get bogged down by arbitrary rules relating to seasonal colors and color/pattern coordination. Her is style is truly one that she can call her own and that is why I admire Jen so much. In the world of designer fashion, she sticks out like a beautiful sore thumb. =) I don't want to try to categorize her style, but I can say that it strikes me as strong, confident, feminine and folksy. |
Jen makes a lot of her own clothing and accessories! In that regard, I have to say that I absolutely adore her floral belts. They're SO amazing! I had never seen anything like that, before visiting Jen's blog. I still haven't seen something like that elsewhere. Maybe there are some big fashion designers doing that. I dunno. I don't follow designers or read fashion magazines. So, I might be a little out of touch here, but the fact remains that Jen's floral belts are beautifully made. I would absolutely love to wear one! Not only does Jen create beautiful clothing, but she also helps create beautiful music, as well! The genre is described as folk / experimental. I really like what I've heard by Vanishing Shapes, one of two bands to which Jen contributes. You can listen to some of their tunes on Bandcamp! Jen is very active on Facebook and Instagram. So, be sure to find her on those platforms, too! |
Contact me, if you would like to be featured in my Blogger Spotlight series! I can't make any particular guarantees, but preference will be given to lesser known blogs (i.e. blogs with fewer than 50 followers).
DO NOT write me and ask how much it will cost to be featured. Those requests are offensive and I will immediately place your emails in my spam folder where they will languish forever.
