Meet Elodie of Lady Moriarty
If I could only use three words to describe Elodie's style, I would say: Casual done right. There's an ease to all of Elodie's looks that give off an effortless vibe. You want to think that she just threw on an over-sized coat, shirt, skirt and shoes. However, anyone who knows how truly difficult it is to make casual look chic, knows that it takes tremendous skill to pull that off and make it look as if the whole process took little thought. The simpler the outfit, the fewer places there are for mistakes to hide. A loud outfit, while it can go terribly wrong if done improperly, affords a sense of comfort, IMO. There are so many places to draw the eye that mistakes can go unnoticed. However, with a simple outfit, every single piece is on display and if you make even just one wrong selection, you can throw everything off and ruin what might have been a masterful, minimalist ensemble. Knowing this, it is clear that Elodie puts tremendous care into her outfits. Every little thing is *juuuust* right. Gah! Haha. >_< <3 |
I love the fact that Elodie can wear tennis shoes or chunky oxfords with just about anything and still somehow manage to look as if she was ripped right out of a high fashion magazine. Also, there's a boyish quality to many of her outfits, which I adore. There's just something about a tough girl who knows how to seamlessly incorporate masculine and feminine qualities into her outfits that I just love. On any given day, Elodie can be edgy, girly, sophisticated or downright tomboy and do so flawlessly. This girl is all that and a bag of chips. ;]~ Yeah, that's right. I said it. Haha. There were sooo many outfits I wanted to share. It was hard to choose just a few. I highly recommend flipping through Elodie's blog. Time will fly, I promise! Although, Elodie's blog updates have been sporadic, as of late, she posts her outfits regularly on Instagram! Check out her Facebook, too! <3 |
