This vintage pink sweater is one of many treasures in my Etsy shop. ^___^ It's cozy and roomy. <3 Also, I find that the pastel pink is a fun color to work with for cold weather outfits. It would be so easy to style for Spring. Just add your favorite kind of florals and you're done. Hehe. I think colors such as deep navy, charcoal grey and grass green would pair nicely with the sweater for Fall. Since Winter and XMAS are fast approaching, I decided to show you guys one way to style it for the coming holiday season.
This outfit is something I would totally wear to a holiday party. If they've got a backyard with a chiminea (and some stiff hot toddies...haha), I'd be all set. ;D I've always liked the way pink and red look together and, though the red high waisted shorts are quite bright, I think the navy peacoat helps temper that a bit. I added the neutral tights, black satchel and understated vintage oxfords to help accentuate the color blocking. I think that adding any more bright colors to the mix would have been distracting.
To satisfy my incessant need to add complexity to my outfits, I donned a colorful multi-pattern winter hat. Many of the colors in the hat are either represented in the outfit or further compliment the outfit in some way. The hat added just the right amount of whimsicality and it made the outfit more interesting.
