As you can see, Spring is taking its own sweet time getting here. There are barely any leaves on the trees; it rains pretty much every day; and on this particular day, rays of sunshine were intermittent at best. At least it was 60 degrees. Heh. :D Ahh, yes. Gotta love seasons. If only the rest of the country could be like California. The weather this week is supposed to be erratic (i.e. 40s some days, 60s on others). It will likely be this way through May, so I fully expect to have people (probably from California or some other part of the country) comment on how "layered up" and "warm" I look for Spring in some of the outfits I wear in the coming weeks. All I can say is: not everywhere is like where you live! ;)
Now that I've gotten THAT out of the way...Haha. Look at me being all trendy and wearing overalls. o_O My first ever pair! I feel like it should have come with a pitchfork or something. I certainly felt a lot like a country bumpkin boppin' around the farmer's market in this outfit. I felt suuuper comfy, though. Despite how juvenile overalls and shortalls may seem, they really are nice for all-day wear. :D I give them that.
Anyway, I'm sure I will wear the dress in all its beautiful glory one day and take some photos for you guys. :D For this time wearing it, I simply tucked and folded the bottom portion into some seamless mid-thigh tights. I find that it really helps to have a relatively short dress in order to pull of this trick!
Oh and you probably noticed something sticking out of my vintage overalls at the front pocket. That would just be my cell phone. :D In the other pocket, I had my wallet and trusty chapstickums. ^_^
I carried my picnic basket like a purse. :D I thought it made a nice accessory given the look and feel I was going for with the outfit. You'll also notice that I'm wearing my awesome ankle booties. I'm not sure why they're classified as boots, though. Maybe it's because they have a heel on them. They just look like fancy sandals to me. Heh. That's what I was looking for when I had bought them. :P
There you have it! Nothing complicated, this time. This outfit is simple, comfortable and (hopefully) kinda cute, too. ^_^ I hope you had a great weekend and that your week is off to a good start! <3
