Oh, hello! Welcome! I've got a few new things to share and a wild theory. Let's start with that theory.
So, I scored these highly pretentious maroon flats back in December 2012 and I'm having mixed feelings about them. First off, I think they look great. I think they're the most unique flats I've got so far.
I love the contrasting colors and the loafer style. However, they are, as I said, really pretentious. Haha.
My theory is that an evil wizard got pissed at some haughty apprentice or just wanted to play a cruel joke on some rich guy and abracadabra'd one of those fools into a pair of shoes. >:D~

I found that the mossy green skinnies from Nectar Clothing worked really well with the crimson flats. I tried to keep the color scheme rather subdued, since I didn't want to detract from the flats. So, I paired a light grey sweater with the jeans. I got the sweater from ASOS in November 2012 along with a carrot orange pleated skirt and an amazing black fringed poncho.
I read that ASOS brand clothing runs large. The ASOS brand orange skirt I bought is a size 6 with an elasticized waist and the ASOS brand grey sweater is a size 6. I found the skirt to be a tad big in the waist, but it wasn't so annoying that I would send it back. I just know for future reference that I am most likely a size 4 in ASOS skirts. The grey sweater on the other hand fit kind of small. It barely covers the waist line of my low-cut jeans and the sleeves are short. You can see the original product photo here. It wasn't exactly what I was expecting, but I do have a long torso and monkey arms. Heh.

ASOS Review
My shopping experience with ASOS was hocus pocus related, as well. Haha. Allow me to explain.
It was my first time ordering from ASOS, so I wasn't really sure what to expect. I received an order confirmation by email as well as a shipping confirmation email. However, I didn't receive a proper tracking number. Instead, I was sent a link to a website with "tracking" via a number assigned to my shipment. It was pretty useless, I have to say. Its tracking updates didn't produce any useful information beyond telling me that my item had left some city in New York of which I had never heard.
In the meantime, I read a ton of ASOS horror stories and I started to freak out. The only thing I could do was be patient, so I tried. ASOS did send me a follow up email after about a week telling me that my shipment was four days away from being delivered. I don't know where they got that information from, though. It couldn't have been from the tracking information that they provided previously. The tracking updates revealed nothing useful about the location of my package. At any rate, the parcel eventually arrived and within the specified time frame. So, just be aware that when you buy from ASOS, you're going to be in the dark about where your package is and when exactly it will arrive.
That being said, the items I received were well-made and of high quality. Everything was well-packaged and I received both a return receipt and a pre-paid return shipping label. I'm a big fan of free returns!
