There's lots to see and talk about for this one, so grab a beverage and make yourself comfortable! Hehe. Finally, it was warm enough for me to wear a T-shirt and not die! I still wore a thermal top and bottom underneath the outfit, out of habit really. The olive parka kept me nice and toasty, too. It's from Jollychic and I ordered a size large. I probably could have gotten away with a medium. I hope it doesn't look too oversized. It's my first parka and I was nervous about how to style it. I'm loving it, though!
I'm a bit layered up, but I didn't do anything too complex. I wore one of my favorite nerdy Threadless tees and tucked it into a thrifted high waisted maxi skirt. The skirt is very thin and light weight, so I had to wear a slip underneath to keep things smooth as well as thick leggings to keep me warm. I have no doubt that it will make a great Summer skirt. Of course, you know I don't care much about seasons when I create outfits. Haha. I wanted to wear the skirt in February, so I did. ;P To make things a little more interesting I knotted the skirt at a very sharp angle. I liked the resulting textured ripples. :D
The overall outfit is kind of grungy and edgy, so I added the cheeky Threadless tee to either amuse or confuse. Haha. Nintendo fans everywhere should immediately understand the print. It's so fun! ^_^
I haven't worn this mustard ModCloth bag in a really long time. I guess it's because I keep going for my yellow Cambridge satchel when I feel the need to add a splash of yellow. I'm glad I chose the mustard bag instead, because the Cambridge satchel would have been a little bit too bright. I wanted a mix of muted colors. Plus, I was able to re-discover just how awesome this bag is. It's a great carry-all!
So, there you have it. Grungy, nerdy, edgy, casual and kinda cool maybe? I dunno. Haha. This is a classic "Anna" outfit, though. I really like this mix of textures and oversized pieces.
