Translation: dangerous woman
She's baaaaaaaaaack. o_O O_o I missed you, crazy lady. <3 I told my partner before we left the house that people would keep to a certain circumference when they encounter me and he chuckled. The thing is, no one bothered me. Hehe. Not a soul. They just stared, as usual. So, yeah. This outfit was not only man repellant, but people repellent. Success! Haha. Ya'll know I'm harmless, though, right? Riiiight?
At any rate, I did some very simple layering, but clashed prints and carefully chose certain pieces to make the outfit seem more complex than it really is. I started with a cap sleeve high low striped maxi dress. It's pretty fantastic. I've never worn it by itself, though. It's really form fitting and unforgiving. It will show any seam and if you went overboard at brunch and developed a food baby..well, you can just forget it. Heh. The dress shows every curve and bump, so I feel super self-conscious in it. >_<
Hence, the first time I wore it, you could barely even see it. Hehe. The second time I wore it, you could only see the bottom half, so it looked more like a skirt. This time, I tried to show as much of the dress as I was comfortable showing. So, I wrapped a sheer plaid top around the waist and topped everything off with the kick ass denim cape. I liked the resulting mix of patterns and colors. :P
Plus, everyone's blasting the AC prematurely, so it was nice to have the cape just in case the place we were going to happened to be ass cold. When I remove the cape, you can pretty much see the full dress, but my mid-section and most of my right thigh are covered by the plaid top. This made me feel a little bit better. Heh. The top created the illusion of a plaid skirt from the front. Also, it formed some interesting shapes, folds and angles from all sides--this is my signature, as I'm sure you know. :D
I found that the breeze did wonderful things for the outfit as I walked. The lightweight plaid top would go one way and the long back of the dress would go another. I always love when that happens. <3
Of course, I had to wear these intimidating and crazy obnoxious sunglasses. How could I not? :D~
I rarely wear them, but that's because I don't think they would look right with just a t-shirt and jeans.
I have to reserve them for special outfits. I think they added the right amount of attitude for this look.
Keep calm and carry on. Hehe. Have a great weekend! ^_^
