Stayed home on Saturday, watched a movie and probably drank one too many Dark and Stormies. Hehe. They're so easy to make, you guys! I did manage to venture out on Sunday for Vietnamese food and this is what I wore. I think this outfit is totally me. It's whimsical and quirky.
I also think it's got a bit of a Harajuku flare with the mixed prints and dress/skirt combo. I spent quite a bit of time in Japan and I'm positive that the experience has rubbed off on me. I felt so comfortable in Japan both as an individual and from a fashion perspective. I felt so free. <3
I don't think I'm alone in the fact that I tend to dress how I feel. My personality runs the show, so I find that my style constantly oscillates which makes it relatively unpredictable. It also leads to quite a few fashion failures, I have to admit. Haha. Hopefully, this is not one of them!
I'm very introspective and critical. I tend to think back on things and look closely for errors. Chances are, a month or two from now, I'll hate this outfit or not like something in particular about it. Alternatively, I could end up rather satisfied with it in the long run. For right now, though, I like it a lot. =)
As you can see, this dress is quite short on me. However, I tend to fix that problem with lace skirts or tights. Here, I opted for the former. I like wearing skirts under dresses to create length and add color. Sometimes, depending on the fullness of the skirt, I can create a make-shift petticoat. :D
Thank you for your kindness!
