Sooo, I've been listening to an inordinate amount of Stereolab, lately. O_o o_O Maybe it's the cold weather. I dunno. Do I really need a reason to listen to Stereolab, anyway? I mean, it's Stereolab. <3
At any rate, I think their colorful album art had an influence on my outfit. Hehe. Much like Stereolab's tunes, the outfit has kind of a vintage, psychedelic vibe that I really like. :DDD The rad corduroy skinny jeans and vintage plaid shift dress (that I managed to stuff into it hehe) pretty much do all the work.
Yoins Review
The skinny jeans are from my sponsor, Yoins. I think it's short for "Yours Inspiration." It's kind of strange, I admit. However, it isn't any stranger that "Oasap" or "ASOS." Hehe. Anyway, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to have navy blue corduroy pants. I've wanted pants like these for a very long time.
I had U.S. sizes 2, 4 and 6 from which to choose. I went with the size 6, but I knew it would be a tight fit based on the measurements on the website. The measurements and product photo were accurate, by the way. I just wish that the measurements also included the in-seam. The pants fit, but not quite where they should. I don't know if that bit is particularly noticeable. Hehe. They're still totally wearable, though. :P My package took about two weeks to arrive and everything I got was double bagged in tear-resistant tyvek. Shipping is free for orders over $40 and I believe shipping costs largely depend on weight.
Whenever I see clothing reviews, I always wish that people would talk about measurements and I rarely see that. So, if you like these pants and you're thinking about ordering them, feel free to contact me for exact measurements. I'm 5'9" and my high waist is 26", my low waist is 28" and my hips are 36".
Also, I was lucky enough to also get another pair of pants and a winter hat from Yoins. So, I'll show those things to you guys in the coming weeks! The only other item of note is the bright yellow cardigan. I wore it like it was going out of style in the first year or so that I bought it. Then I got a vintage yellow cardigan and I kinda stopped wearing this one. So, I'm bringing it back to life! Hehe.
I wanted add another dose of bright color and I think the cardigan framed the outfit nicely. I'm slowly starting to feel more confident with wearing bright colors. I'm happy with this. I hope you like it, too! ^_^
