It was about time that I did something off kilter. Needless to say, I feel satiated. ;D Oh and let me go ahead and answer the question that some of you may have knocking around in your heads. The answer is, "Yes, I was hot, but not any hotter than I would have been had I been wearing jeans and a tee." ;) Why is that? Well, it's because every piece of clothing I'm wearing is light weight, sheer and translucent. :DDD Click here to see a post that I wrote about layering for every season, including Summer. This outfit consists of four pieces: A sheer floral lace bodysuit, a sheer lace floral maxi skirt (worn as a hooded scarf), a sheer colorblock maxi skirt, and a sleeveless white mini dress with a sheer angular overlay (tucked into the maxi skirt). Colors, textures, angles and attitude. It's all right here. Hehe. :P As the title of the post suggests, this outfit was actually inspired by Radiohead's, "Rabbit In Your Headlights." I was listening to that song awhile back and I had been sketching outfit ideas in a notebook. As with most things that are born of inspiration, the idea for the outfit just came to me. I scoured my closet for pieces that would do the sketch justice and played around with combinations on my mannequin until I settled on the darkly futuristic ensemble that you see before you. <3 <3 <3 I really love the way the entire outfit looks from every angle. The colors and shapes speak to me the most. I hope you dig it (and you haven't been completely scared away by it! Haha). :D <3 Thrifted - ModCloth Black Lace Skirt (Sale), ModCloth Colorblock Skirt (Sale) & White Dress c/o zeroUV - European Mirror Round Aviator Sunglasses in Black Fire American Apparel - Sheer Floral Lace Bodysuit Hot Topic - Black Lace Up Wedge Boots
