It worked out quite well! The shipping was incredibly fast. I think my package arrived in 6 business days and it shipped for free. They paid all of the expenses associated with overseas shipments, so I didn't have to worry about it and their return system was really easy as they have a return center in California.
The stuff I bought were mostly cold weather garments, like tights and sweaters. You can see a wool sweater
I bought from them here and a
green cape I also got here.
I liked everything I bought except a one-size red sweater. It was good quality, but it fit like a crop top. Haha. Not what I was expecting size wise. I emailed them for a return authorization, shipped it to their return center in California and got my refund about a week later.
I never got into the whole "arm candy" phenomenon. I don't have pierced ears and I don't wear rings. I'm very simple where jewelry is concerned. So, I just adore this bracelet, because it naturally suits my typical style of dress. The bracelets were $13 each. Kind of steep, but worth it in the end. Beautiful craftsmanship. I also bought a hot air balloon pendant and a black high-low skirt.
I appreciate this kind of service. It's better than some US on-line stores. I guess it's true what they say:
Sometimes, it's the little things that make all the difference. =)
I should also mention that I have not been paid to write this review and I have not received any free items or any kind of monetary benefit from Chicwish. Quite frankly, my blog isn't popular enough for me to qualify for such special treatment. Haha. I'm kind of proud of that, actually. (^_^)v
All in all, I had a great experience with Chicwish and I will definitely buy from them again
and maybe even do business with other Asia-Europe on-line stores.
So...what about the rest of what I'm wearing?
Well, I love this navy blue sweater vest. I want to get it in other colors, but American Apparel doesn't seem to be very diligent at re-stocking certain items. This particular vest is a men's vest.
I bought it in Extra Small. It has pretty wide arm holes, but other than that, it's great.
I spruced it up with a frilly white sleeveless blouse with a high Victorian-esque collar. It was such a cheap, but totally incredible purchase. It is one of many fabulous thrift finds, this year.
The brown fold-over high waist skirt is from American Apparel, as well. I bought it in navy blue and loved it so much that I ordered the brown and grey. They only had the latter colors in Extra Small, but it still fits just as well as my usual Size Small. I folded over the waist and hiked it up a bit to
show off the leggings. In actuality, the skirt hits just above the knee.
I also continued my personal challenge to combine different shades of the same color.
Here I have the tawny braided latch satchel paired with my almond pleat detailed flats.
This outfit would be appropriate for a lunch date, shopping or a casual Friday night dinner.
On this particular day, I had put together this ensemble for brunch and coffee. =)
