This is one of my favorite tracks from the brilliant, Yoshinori Sunahara. It appears on the 2001 album, "Lovebeat." Sit back, relax and enjoy these beautifully crafted downtempo beats! ^_^
Born and bred in Sapporo, Sunahara is a fixture in the Shibua-kei and chillout scene. His music has a palpable retro flare which I adore. Sunahara's style oscillates between bossa nova and 70's funk.
He's been churning out music since the late 90's and has so far produced seven albums. His latest release is "Liminal" (2011). That album has more of a tech-house feel to it. It's certainly darker and grittier than his past work. You can listen to Track 4 from Liminal below!
