Happy Wednesday, folks! The weekend is almost upon us! Hold on. :D Here's a track that will hopefully make your day go by just a little bit faster. It's from Scott Hansen's self-released 2002 EP, "The Science of Patterns." One of the reasons why I love this track in particular is the fact that it is so cerebral. It's pretty close to what I would expect from Boards of Canada or Amon Tobin. Check it out!
Originally from San Francisco, Hansen has put out ambient and psychedelic tunes as Tycho for a little more than a decade. His music is very organic and tends to incorporate snippets of the human experience such as weather broadcasts, conversations and the sound of one's breathing. So cool. :D
Hansen's latest production is a collaboration with Thievery Corporation called "Fragments/Ascension" from November 2012. You can listen to Hansen's contribution to that EP below.
To keep up with Hansen's latest work and to get tour dates, check out his Facebook and SoundCloud pages! It'll be the best in downtempo, chill out and ambient all week, so come on back!
