Thrupence is Jack Vanzet, yet another Australian electronic music producer dominating my blog. He's only 21 years old and pretty new to the music scene. Vanzet released "Serenade/Promenade" in July 2011 which consists of nine singles. The track above appears as #8 on that album. It's calm and ripple free, like a placid lake in the middle of a deserted forest. Super chill.
Thereafter, Vanzet released "Unfinished Business Tape" in January 2012, which also consists of nine singles. It's just as chill as Serenade/Promenade, but it has a more palpable jazz influence. Don't take my word for it, though. Listen for yourself! Check out Track 4 entitled "Loft." Definitely my favorite!
Vanzet's latest production is the "Voyages" EP released in March 2012. It's a collection of ambient, downtempo and instrumental hip hop. No matter which album you start with, you'll always achieve the same result: immediate introspection and total relaxation. Perfect on this chilly Monday morning.
