This is a great remix of a break beats track from Sante Pucello of Italy. This track has a very sophisticated, otherworldy flavor. For me, it even has some airy 1960s bossa nova elements.
Now based in Germany, Pucello has been in the music business for a long, long time. He released his debut house single, "The Piano," in 1995. This was followed by several more singles through 1999. His breakthrough came with the release of the house EP, "The Riff / Camels" in 2000. You can check that out here. It's well worth a listen and you'll see why it was such a hit! The house/breaks album, "R U Shakadelic?" quickly followed in 2001 and guess the first track on that album? Yep. Camels! :D
Pucello has kept himself very busy since the release of his first album. He produced more than four dozen singles and EPs along with an additional three albums. His latest album is a tech-house joint called, "If You Have Meat You Want Fish" (2011). He also has two brand new EPs for 2014, "Dominant" and "Macroscope," both of which are tech-house. Be sure to keep up with Pucello on Facebook and SoundCloud! I've got a lot more 2-step and breaks to share, so don't go too far. ;D Enjoy!
