Happy Friday! Yes, the weekend is finally here! I'm topping off a week of fantastic tunes with this sensational track from Paolo Kapunan's "All Up In Your Mind" album of 2005. It is Kapunan's debut album and his only album to date.
Originally, from New York City, Kapunan became enamored with music at the age of six, taking piano lessons from the keyboard player of his father’s rock band in Orangeburg, New York. He moved to Montreal in 1995 to study trumpet at McGill University and eventually made a name for himself in the Montreal scratch DJ scene as P-Love.
Kapunan hasn't released anything new since 2005 which is a shame, because his music was beyond its time. I can only imagine what he could come up with at this point. I'd go out on a limb and say it would be fan-f*cking-tastic. According to Kapunan, via a comment on his Facebook page, he's working on a follow up to the All Up In Your Mind album, it's just taking a hella long time. So, stick with him, you guys.
