Another new edition to my music collection, Onuinu is Dorian Duvall: one of the few African-American indie artists I have come across. The other that I know of (and listen to) is the lead singer of Lightspeed Champion, Devonté Hynes (he is an American citizen, but grew up and lives in England).
Duvall is a Portland native and he will be performing at Music Fest Northwest on Thursday September 6. Once again, I was forced to make a difficult choice in the MFNW schedule between Onuinu and Nosaj Thing. Ugh. I wish I could be in two places at once. I really do. If you'll be in Portland for MFNW, go and see Onuinu if you can! You will be one lucky bastard...and I will hate you. ;) Also, this is a track from his upcoming album "Mirror Gazer." The album is slated for release in September 2012.
