Charles Dickerson (Los Angeles)
Signing off with a supremely chill tune from the "Manifestations" EP (2011). Los Angeles native, Charles Dickerson of Mono/Poly, released his first EP "The George Machine" in 2009 and it's been full steam ahead since then. His works appear on a few labels, including Warp Records and Planet Mu alongside heavyweights such as Flying Lotus and Nosaj Thing.
Dickerson's style ranges from hip hop to dub step to experimental/freestyle. Here's Track 8 from his debut album, "Paramatma" released May 2010. It beautifully encapsulates all of these genres.
In April 2012, Dickerson self-released the "Killer B's" EP. It's his latest official release. It's fresh and supremely danceable with a more palpable dub step vibe. Check out Track 3 below!
