Matt Cutler (UK)
Today's artist, Matt Cutler of Lone, hails from Nottingham, England. This track is from Cutler's 2009 EP entitled "Cluster Dreams." It's so, so good. Apparently, Cutler draws much of his musical inspiration from Boards of Canada, Madlib and Bibio. I enjoy the sounds of all three of these artists, so it's no wonder that I'm also an instant fan of Lone. :D Give this track a listen!
Cutler became interested in making music from an early age and experimented with hip hop and techno before the release of the "Lemurian" dream pop album in 2008. Cutler's latest release is the "Galaxy Garden" album (Apr. 2012). It's comprised of 12 tracks of acid house, ambient and breaks goodness. Check out Track 2 from the album below. It's a real treat!
