I can't get enough of this killer latin house groove from Rafael Rodriguez of Lego. You can find it on the "Flava In Ya Ear Vol. 2" EP (1999). I've listened to this track on repeat so many times over the years. I'm sad to see summer go away, so I guess I'm trying my best to keep it alive with this track. Hehe.
Rodriguez started his career playing Kaboom! in Chicago when he was just 19 years old. His success at Kaboom led to a long-term residency at Red Dog. Rodriquez draws much of his inspiration from disco, latin jazz, salsa and hip hop. So, you'll find that many of his tracks incorporate one or more of these genres. The Flava In Ya Ear Vol. 2 EP was one of Rodriguez's first few official releases. His debut album, "Mad Flava," appeared in 2000 and it's a collection disco and latin house. Really good!
