I'm starting off the week with a wonderful track from Shaw-Han Liem of I Am Robot And Proud. Based in Toronto, Liem released his first album entitled "The Catch" in October 2001. The track below is from the 2006 album, "The Electricity in Your House Wants to Sing."
You'll notice that Liem's songs have a palpable chiptunes flavor. Apparently, in addition to being a music producer, Liem is a video game designer, as well. He actually helped created the game Sound Shapes for Playstation 3 which won the Best Song and Best Mobile Game awards.
Liem hasn't released anything new as of late, but he has been busy producing remixes. Here is a remix of the "Light Particles" track by Nels that Liem put out on SoundCloud about three months ago.
What an incredible remix. It would be a great little tune for an 8-bit side-scroller, yeah? Love it! Liem updates his Facebook and SoundCloud pages fairly regularly, so be sure to check those out!
