Signing off with a fantastic track from Ross Birchard of Hudson Mohawke. This is Track 15 from Birchard's 2009 debut (and only album to date), entitled "Butter." You're gunna like this one, folks!
Originally from Glasgow, Scotland, Birchard claimed the title of youngest ever UK DMC World DJ Championships finalist at the age of 15. Birchard is a fantastic turntablist and is well known for so-called "genre smashing," a technique involving genre mashups. In a nutshell: he's brilliant. :P
Birchard's latest release under the Hudson Mohawke alias is the "Pleasure" 12 inch from August 2011. He teamed up with pop artist, Lunice Fermin Pierre II, to create beats under the alias, TNGHT. Together, Birchard and Pierre put out the "TNGHT" EP in 2012 followed by the "Acrylics" single in April 2013. The EP is a mix of hip hop, dub step and grime. You can listen to Track 2 below.
