Oh, hey! I'm back, bitches! :D I'm all rested up and ready to blow your minds. It'll be disco house all week, so get excited! I'm starting with a bangin' track from Tom Middleton & Mark Pritchard of Global Communication. Admittedly, this is closer to deep house than disco house, but I love this track and I think it will set the tone for the rest of this week. Plus, this is my blog and I can do whatever the hell I want. Haha. ;P I'm a huge fan of both Middleton and Pritchard, so it's no wonder that I'm enamored with their Global Communication project. This track is from the 1996 EP "The Way / The Deep."
A classically trained pianist and cellist, Middleton has been active in the electronic music scene since the early 90's. After teaming up with Pritchard, the duo released their first album under the Global Communications alias in 1993. From there, they steadily released two more albums and a slew of singles, EPs and mixes through 2011. You can learn more about Middleton on his homepage.
Both artists have active solo careers, as well. Middleton recently put out the "Space Steps" EP (2012) which consists of four deep/tech house tracks. Here's Track 4 entitled "Hawkes Groove."
So god damn perfect. Too good. Middleton always rocks my socks. :D Middleton's partner, Pritchard, born and raised in Australia, has produced music under a number of aliases including "Secret Ingredients," "Harmonic 33," and "Vertigo." Pritchard put out the "Ghosts" mix in June 2013, a combo of dub step, drum and bass and grime. It's intense. Really, really good. You can listen to it below.
