A great start to the day, this is the first track from Digable Planets' debut album, "Reachin'" (1993). Much like this track, the entire album is super chill. I find it perfect for Summer, actually. :D
This group from Brooklyn formed in 1992. They released their debut album just a year later along with their first single, "Rebirth Of Slick." They released several singles through 1995 as well as another album, "Blowout Comb" (1994). After a break up in 1995, the group reunited in 2005.
Their latest album to date is "Beyond The Spectrum: The Creamy Spy Chronicles" (2005). It's really, really good. Don't take my word for it, though. You can listen to Track 2 below. :D
I'm not sure if these guys are still making music together. Though, from what I understand, the band members maintain active solo careers. There is no official website, so that's about it for this one!
