Hey guys! Happy New Year! I'm starting off the year with a track from Terence N'guyen of Darius. It is Track 5 from the Velour EP released in March 2012 and it's like heavy aural syrup. Thick and delicious.
From what I can gather, Darius appears to be a side project of N'guyen. When he's not creating beats under that alias, he is teamed up with Dorian Miche in the band Cherokee. N'guyen is from France, while Miche is from Luxembourg. They started producing French House in 2011 and I gotta say, I love it. While Darius is more chill wave/ambient, Cherokee is just straight up disco funk. Check out Track 2 from Cherokee's latest EP, "American Spirit" (Oct. 2012)
It kicks so much ass! Love these guys! That reminds me..I need to do another disco house week... Anyway, I hope you enjoy these tracks. It'll be chill out, ambient and downtempo all week long.
