d-T3ch is Jade Metz of Melbourne, Australia. Yes, another Australian electronic music producer! They're just dominating this blog right now. Haha. Metz draws inspiration from jazz, funk, disco, hip hop, soul and latin music. You can feel a little bit of each genre in "Scholars Make Dollars," a jazzy deep house single Metz released in 2009.
Metz never released a full length album, but he has produced a number of singles, EPs and remixes with his latest EP being "Bring it Back" (July 2012 - Disco House). Apparently, he spends most of his time traveling the world and sharing his music with the masses. I'd love to see him perform live! I would dance my ass off!
Seriously. If you aren't already bumpin' to Scholars Make Dollars, then try this track on for size. Metz released "Kindness of Strangers" in December 2011, and there's so much good stuff going on in this track. These remixes are just too short, in my opinion. I've listened to this on loop. You can hear elements of hip hop, jazz and deep house. It's scrumptious...like an aural sushi roll. Enjoy! For more info on Metz's latest releases, go here.
