This is a track that earned a permanent place in my house music playlists. It's from the "Countless" EP (1997). It's a perfect summer time groove. The infectious bass beat gets me every time. Check it out!
Martin Iveson was lucky enough to score a job as a game developer at Core Design back in the 80s/early 90s. Core Design is responsible for the Tomb Raider series, in case you didn't know! As it turns out, Iveson left the company after several years to focus on music production.
His debut EP, "Story," (1996) and debut album, "That Something," (1999) earned him a licensing gig by Sony/Kloon in Japan. The fact that the cover art for the album was by a well known Japanese illustrator probably helped a bit. ;D From there, it didn't take long for Iveson to become a fixture in the house music scene. He produced four more albums and more than two dozen singles and EPs.
Iveson's latest album is a collaboration with Jullian Gomes from October 2013 called, "The Gift The Curse." You can hear a sampling of the tracks from that album, below. :D
