So far, introductions weren't needed, IMO. However, I must say something about Mr. Jamal. His music has been sampled by myriad artists, including legendary hip hop producer, Nujabes. This particular song has been sampled by artists such as Common and Kero One. Listen to Common's sampling of Dolphin Dance in the well-known hip hop track "Resurrection" from good old 1994.
Amazing! As you can see, it is so much more joyful to listen to a track like Resurrection, when you've heard Dolphin Dance and when you already have a deep appreciate for it. Ahmad Jamal's ingenuity in Dolphin Dance inspired so many artists and paved the way for fresher, more unique songwriting.
