The Soft Moon @ Berbati's
Berbati's is a pretty small venue. We waited in line for probably 10 or 15 minutes before squeezing our way in side. By that time, The Soft Moon had already started their set. I was at the back of the crowd, so I couldn't get a good photo, unfortunately. I had to use one from the internets. It didn't help that they kept things really dark in there.. I guess they did it for the ambiance. The music was good, though. Really intense and full of angst. I tried to get some video of their last song of the night. It's not the best picture or sound quality. Hey, it's better than nothing, though! :P
Wild Nothing @ Berbati's
After The Soft Moon finished their set, half the crowd cleared out. So, I was able to move to the front. Hence, I actually got a decent band photo to share. :D Things quickly filled back up on the main floor after that, though. As I had anticipated, Wild Nothing's set was comparatively lighter and more danceable. It was a good show. I just wish I didn't have to leave in the middle of it. See below.
Trust @ Holocene
So, I had to make an executive decision to leave the Wild Nothing show after about 30 minutes so we could get to Holocene (all the way across town) to see Trust. We left Berbati's at 12:30 AM and oh my god was it a bitch to hail a cab! I had not anticipated the morning rush. Traffic was crazy and almost every cab that passed by were full of people. Eventually, we were able to hail a cab and make it to Holocene. However, when we got there, we found a long and growing line in front of the main door.
It was a particularly chilly night (45-50 degrees). So, we joined the line and huddled for warmth. We were told that some people had been waiting there for over half an hour. About 10 or 15 more people had lined up behind us as we made the excruciatingly slow shuffle to the entrance. We learned that the venue was packed to capacity. So, as some people came out, they let the same number of people in. Eventually, the guy waiting behind us, said 'screw this' and left. By this time, we could hear cheers from the inside of the venue and we knew that Trust had just started their set. At this point, we freaked the f*ck out. We weren't sure how much of the show we'd actually get to see or if we'd even see it at all!
Turns out, that dude that was behind us should have stayed. A bunch of people filed out of the venue after we had been waiting for maybe 30-35 minutes. Soon, we found ourselves at the front of the line, at which point the girl checking wristbands announced that she could only let five more people inside! If only that dude had stayed! Aww, man. Let that be a lesson, you guys. Don't leave the line until you're absolutely sure that you won't get in!

Trust was worth the wait, I have to say. It was packed to the rafters in that tiny back room, but I somehow managed to take a short cut using a side entrance and wiggled my way to the front. So, I got a great vantage point and a little bit of room to dance. The music was bass heavy, deep, dark and sensual. Everyone was dancing their asses off. There was a really good vibe for sure. Like The Soft Moon, Trust decided to keep things really dark, so I had to use the dreaded flash to get a half decent band photo and unfortunately my video footage is a little dark. Also, the sound quality isn't the best, but after all, you kinda just had to be there, as they say. ;)
