Bringing you deep house with a latin flair, today. This is Alistair Colling's 2001 single, "Para Carolina." This is sure to get you closer to the weekend! Love this one! According to my research, Colling's discography goes as far back as 2000 and there are only a few releases. His latest production is the "Broke/Susi Groovey" EP of 2002 which consists of two breaks/future jazz tracks. I'm unable to find embeddable tracks from that EP, though, so you'll just have to enjoy the esoteric classic above!

You're gunna love this one! :D This track is from Rene Breitbarth's October 2009 EP, "Freshin' Up." It's one of my all time favorite deep house jams from Breitbarth. It's so thick with soul and emotion. So chill! Originally from Germany, Breitbarth's career in music production began in early 90s, though he did not begin to deejay professionally until around 2000. As you can probably imagine after having listened to the track above, Breitbarth's music is introspective and complex. It is as intelligent as it is soulful and it is these qualities that make me a fan for life. His music is of a kind that you can enjoy at any point in your life. Utterly timeless. I highly recommend doing a search for some of his older work! Breitbarth produced more than half a dozen digital EPs in 2012 and a single digital EP in May 2013 called, "Explorers." You can listen to the first track on the Explorers EP below. Everything Breitbarth touches turns to gold. Haha. I have as of yet to hear a track I don't like from him. He uploaded new tracks within the last week to his SoundCloud, so check it out! Happy Wednesday! Here's one way to wake yourself up in the morning! :D This is a single Mark Funk put out in April 2013 and it's wicked! I don't know if it's a remix or if the track is using samples from an older song, but it sounds vaguely familiar and listening to it takes me back to the 90s. Good times! Not much is known about this artist other than that he's from Serbia and he's all about soulful deep house. Mark Funk's official discography goes back to 2010, but I get the feeling he's been making music long before that. His latest release consists of two tracks on the Guesthouse label from early November 2013, "Lady Bug" and "Ebony." You can listen to "Lady Bug" below! |
