Omg! These guys are so f*cking awesome sauce. The vocals in this track are so spot on. This is a gem from Amélie De Bosredon
and
Quarles Baseden's "Starlighter" EP (Sep. 2009). Give it a listen!

F*cking awesome, right? Riiiiight?! :DDD That's my jam, right there. Bosredon and Baseden hail from Paris, France, though they met one fateful night in London. The "Starlighter" single caused a stir when it came out in 2009 and it didn't take long for the duo to appear on compilations by Ministry of Sound, Valerie and Kitsune. Bosredon and Baseden released a single each year after Starlighter through 2012 before coming out with their synth-pop/disco debut album, "Juicy Lucy" (2012). You can listen to Track 4 from the Juicy Lucy album below. It's the epitome of retro/electro goodness!

Radness :D You're going to love this track by FantomenK of Sweden. It's from his 2012 "Special FantomenK" EP. If this is your first time hearing about this amazing chiptunes producer, you might want to check out my previous blog posts about him for a short bio and additional tracks! Enjoy!

Ohhh, it's going to be a grrrreaaaat day. /Irish accent/ (^___^)v I've got a good one for you, folks! I'm starting off this week of electro house and chiptunes with a single Russ Chimes produced for the "Valerie And Friends" compilation of May 2009. It's too good to listen to just once!

Aww yeah. Let those retro synths wash over you. Haha. Love it! :D Admittedly, I hadn't heard of Russ Chimes until very recently and by accident. I stumbled across that compilation album mentioned above and when I came across Chimes' contribution, I was totally hooked. I had to find out more about him.

As it turns out, not much is known about Chimes other than that he is based in London and that he is fairly new to the music scene. He released his debut EP, "Midnight Club" in 2010 and this was followed by the "Tonic/Helix" EP (2011) and four singles.
His latest releases include the single, "Motions," (Feb. 2014)
and the "Sula" EP (July 2014). Be sure to keep up with Chimes on Facebook and SoundCloud!
