Since I'm doing jazz next week, I thought this track would be the perfect way to sign off for the evening. It's from Sergio Mendes' 1966 EP, "Constant Rain (Chove Chuva)." If this is your first time hearing the greatness that is Sergio Mendes, then I highly recommend checking out his discography and listening to more! I never get tired of his music. Grab a whiskey, kick back and enjoy! I'll see you next week! I love the classics, man. I'm sorry. Haha. When I want to really take a load off, I turn to music from the 50s, 60s and 70s for inspiration and relaxation. I've been that way since I was a kid and I know I likely bored my friends to death with my musical taste. My teenage buddies probably felt like being friends with me was like being friends with a 50 year old. >_< At least my taste in music is starting to catch up to my actual age. Haha. Anyway, this track is a classic from Johnny Hammond's 1975 jazz/funk album, "Gears." It has this bittersweet melancholy that I just can't seem to get enough of. Emo till the day I die, I guess. Haha. Anyway, I hope you like the song! I have one more classic to share! So check back! |
