Ahoy! <3 It's me, your friendly neighbourhood Anna. :D I am still alive, y'all! Not only that, but I passed my provincial bar exams and completed my 8-month articling requirement (legal apprenticeship).
So, it looks like I am on track to receive my license to practice law in Ontario by this Summer! I cannot begin to tell you how exciting, overwhelming and downright scary this is. Haha. It has been a loooong time coming, but trying to find a job during a nationwide pandemic is daunting, to say the least.
I am going to try to stay positive, but please keep your fingers crossed for me! Positive vibes, yall!
We're currently in our Third Wave, so that means I have been coping with an almost two-month province-wide lockdown. Needless to say, I haven't been getting out much, as there isn't really anywhere for me to go under the circumstances. We are allowed to go outside for essential reasons, such as exercise, so I've been out to the local park about less than a handful of times over the past year. As you can see, I tried to take a few outfit photos along the way. I didn't have time to do a proper blog post for them, but I had posted them on my Instagram page which worked out quite nicely.
Honestly, I think I may start doing my blog posts on Instagram and just cross-posting here, because it saved me so much time. Normally, I would take photos with a professional camera, select, edit, colour correct those photos, then craft a detailed written blog post with various links and it would take hours.
This wouldn't be a proper update if I didn't fill y'all in on the cat situation. Hehe. Winsome and Bonaparte are doing just fine. I think they're loving having us working from home, but I worry about how they'll cope once either or both of us start commuting, again. Well, at least they have each other for company.
Finally, if you didn't already know, my partner and I did a live set, last year, for people coping with the many lockdowns. It was my first time using a CDJ and I had a lot of fun creating a dynamic set (and being able to do so with my partner, which I had never done before). I think you can see how different our musical tastes are, but at the end of the day, I think everything came together synergistically.
I'm already looking forward to doing this again and I'm hoping to get my next one in by this Summer, so if you'd like to see me puttering around the decks and spinning weird music and whatnot, check my Instagram page, because that is where I will make any announcements and share links. :D
Thanks so much for continuing to follow me and for sticking by me! I hope to provide more content as things start to level out and become less hectic for me. As I mentioned, any outfit posts I do will appear on Instagram first, most likely, so be sure to check there, but rest assured I will cross post here. <3
Please reach out and let me know how you're doing! I will try to visit your blogs as soon as I can!
