Mother of Zeus, it was cold. o_O Every part of me hurt. I don't even know how I was able to smile. Haha. I picked this particular spot for photos since it looked pretty desolate. I mean, who has time to be hanging out, not doing anything in the freezing cold, right? Well, I ended up positioning myself next to a parked car, only to have the bejeezus scared out of me as there were a couple of olds just sitting in said vehicle. Huddling for warmth, I guess? I don't know. Haha. Needless to say, I re-positioned myself.
Right. So, now I'm downwind from the creepers in their van and I'm ready to pretend that my limbs aren't so numb that they feel like they might just fall right off. Heh. I just want to say that I'm super happy with how the outfit turned out. I find it increasingly difficult to find new ways to wear this coat. It's rad and such a joy to look at, but the colors and patterns make styling it a real challenge.
Still, it was those very colours and patterns that inspired me. I'd never thought to pair coral with purple and I hadn't worn the purple sweater with the coral shorts before, so yeah. I consider this a rather successful remix of old clothes. The color pairings are unexpected and fresh and they really pop against the white snowy backdrop. The weather was miserable, but that doesn't mean my outfit had to be. ;)
After doing this little 360, I immediately buttoned up and we high tailed it to the nearest coffee shop to thaw. I opted for a matcha latte. <3 It wasn't enough to wear bright colours. I had to drink them, too. ;P
