4:00 PM CST - 7:00 PM CET
For the first part of the trip, I went in and out of consciousness. Haha. I was so tired, I felt like I was drunk almost. I was exhausted and did not bother wearing makeup for most of the day, so please forgive my appearance! Here are a few more detailed photos. =)
After heading back to the hotel to grab some warmer clothes, we walked around the city for a bit. There are so many bicycles as the city is very bicycle friendly. I love that about Amsterdam! Also, 90% of the bikes were cruiser bikes. I noticed only a few mountain bikes. I think this is due to the fact that the city is rather flat and not hilly. So, there's little need for a bike with grip tires and a range of speed. One thing I was always curious about was how in the world do people find their bikes amidst the sea of parked bikes in a lot? I would definitely make a little black and white skull flag for mine. ;D
We ended our day of sightseeing at the Openbare Library. It has six floors with a large cafeteria on the top floor where you can see spectacular views of the city. It was just wonderful!
